Hey there!
Welcome to Life with a Furkid! My name is Gené, and I have been a proud dog mom for most of my adult life. My love for dogs started when I was a little girl. Growing up, we had two family dogs who were our constant companions. My sister and I played with them every day, celebrated their birthdays with cake, and even took them along on road trips and beach vacations. They were more than pets; they were family.
When I got my first furbaby as an adult, I fell completely in love with the journey of being a dog mom. It’s a beautiful, sometimes frustrating, and deeply rewarding experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world.
Now, let me introduce you to my furkid, Luna! She is a gorgeous black English Cocker Spaniel, full of energy, love, and mischief. Luna is now two and a half years old, and she has brought so much joy and adventure into my life. From playful zoomies to snuggly nap times, every day with her is an adventure worth sharing.
My love for being a dog mom led me to start this blog—a space for fellow dog mommies and daddies to connect, share experiences, and celebrate the joy of having a furkid. Here, you’ll find posts about dog mom life, canine behaviour, homemade treats & recipes, travel & fun outings, grooming tips, product recommendations, and so much more!
